Cake Decorating Contest at Heritage Day

It’s time for the:

3rd Annual Cake Decorating Contest!

-Cake pans must be checked out from this library
-Two age divisions
Junior 0-12 years
Adult 13 and up
-Event will be held in the REC on September 24
-Cakes must be dropped off between 9:30am-11 am
-Votes will be tallied and winners announced at 1 pm

New for this year…..

-There will be oversized games set up for kids of ALL ages to play from 11am- 2 pm
-Cake walk at 1:30 pm

All proceeds benefit the Colwich Elementary School Library

Lego Club

Lego Club!!
This is an after school program that will run from September through November. “Playing” with Legos teaches basic science and math concepts and also boosts creativity. Please stop in the library to sign up, deadline is September 15. Space is limited!!! We ask participants to be at least in the third grade. Meetings will be after school on the first and third Fridays of the month and will be from 4:15-5:15 pm.

Library Notes

Here’s a few things currently going on:

-Help Wanted….we are seeking part-time help.  14-18 hours per week.  If interested, call 796-1521 or stop in for an application!

-Story Hour will be starting soon. Class size is limited, so please sign up soon! We will begin meeting in September 13.

-We will be hosting a class on using the Cricut machine soon.  Date is TBD.  Check back soon for more info.

-Bedtime Storytime will be starting on September 6. No need to sign up! Just show up in your PJ’s with a stuffed animal, pillow or blanket.

-We will be hosting the Cake Decorating contest during Heritage Day again.  Check back for more details!

End of SRP

Sadly, Friday will be our last SRP activity day.  It’s the water party, so don’t forget a suit and a towel.

The last day to collect prizes for reading is Saturday the 6th.

The Family Challenge pool party is Thursday, the 11th.
